AI Multi-Agent Frameworks & Swarms Directory (2026)

Orchestration SDKs and runtime environments for building collaborative multi-agent architectures. Compare source-linked platforms, published capabilities, model providers, and available pricing sources.

How to compare AI orchestration frameworks

An AI orchestration framework coordinates the steps and state of an agent workflow. A finished agent product is a different purchase: it packages a particular task for an end user. Decide whether you need infrastructure to build a workflow or an application to use.

Questions for your shortlist
CompareWhat to ask
Workflow controlCan you combine fixed steps with model decisions, and inspect the state between steps?
RecoveryCheck how the system saves progress, resumes after a failure and avoids repeating external actions.
Human approvalIdentify which actions require review and whether a person can inspect or change the pending state.
Operating costSeparate framework licensing, hosting, model usage, tracing and support when comparing quotes.

LangGraph documents persistent workflow state, human review and a mix of fixed and model-driven steps. Use those capabilities as questions when evaluating the frameworks below. Read the official LangGraph overview.
